Assorted Bhajias

Ingredients
1 cucumber sliced rounds
1 onion sliced rounds
1 small ridge-gourd peeled and sliced round
8-10 ajwain leaves washed clean whole
1 potato peeled and sliced round
1 1/2 cup gram flour
1/2 cup rice flour
salt to taste
1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
1/2 tsp. cumin seeds
Oil for deep fry

Method
- Do not slice the vegetables too thick or too thin.
- Mix flours, salt, cumin seeds, turmeric to make a batter for dipping.
- Heat oil to deep fry. When hot, add a tablespoon to the batter and mix.
- Dip the vegetables, slice by slice and slide into the hot oil. Fry on medium heat till golden brown.
- Serve hot with sauce or chutney as desired.
